TK DESIGNS BIOGRAPHY  
Linda, TK Designs head seamtress, was literally raised under needle and thread. At an early age, her mother taught her to sew while having her operate the foot pedal at her feet under the sewing machine!
FAQ for Formal/Wedding Alterations
Do I need an appointment?  
Yes! Due to the specialized fitting process and the attention to detail taken during our one-to-one consultation, we strongly recommend an appointment.. What do I need to bring to my appointment?  
Bring your shoes for your outfit, if you already have them. Bring all items and accessories that you need to be matched and customized for your ensemble. Also, bring clean undergarments. How long is the appointment?  
Half an hour to an hour is the norm. How many fittings do I need?  
You should plan on at least 2 to 3 fittings. More may be necessary for special projects. How long does the process take?  
Currently, we complete most projects in a range of 3 to 4 weeks, but we can accommodate rush jobs - if needed. Do you guarantee your work?  
Our work is 100% GUARANTEED. If it is not to your liking before you pick up and walk out the store, we will do anything and everything within our range of possibilities to make you satisfied with our services and your final product. What is your cost?  
This depends on the work to be done, along with the style and garment. However, our prices are competitive with the pricing of other leading bridal alteration/formal shops. Do you have a shape that requires a bit more attention? Are you struggling to find the right style, fabric or trim that compliments you best? Do I need an appointment?  
YES! We would need this first consultation to discuss your needs your custom needs. In addition, IT IS FREE! Do you offer both men and women clothing?  
Currently, we mainly offer services for women custom clothing; however, we do offer limited information for men. How long does it take to make an outfit?  
It varies, but normally it takes 3 to 4 weeks to complete a project. What clothing items do you make?  
We do anything from weekend casual, business attire to formal wear. If you can make the request, we can make the garment. Can you duplicate a design or do you only work from originals?  
We can duplicate designs, but we highly encourage you to use an original design of your own. We also have our own line of original designs to choose from. Do you work with out-of-town clients?  
Yes, all you need to do is submit your measurements by following the instructions on our website, along with a sample of the garment to be made. You should include all the specifics that might be necessary to make your custom item what you visualize it as being. Can you remake, redesign a wedding gown or vintage gown / veils?  
Yes, we can. Please see our photo album of garments we have done in the past. What is your cost?  
This depends on the work to be done, along with the style and garment, but typically our prices are within the norm for a custom clothing boutique. |
